Borlotto Lingua 3 is an attractive and tasty variety of Italian breeding.
The pods are two-toned, green with red hues. The flavor is exceptional, and the beans remain stringless until the colorful seeds develop within the pod. It grows vigorously and produces large numbers of pods, making it highly productive. The beans, suitable for grain, are also two-toned.
Sowing: Sow directly outdoors from mid-May to late June, in rows along the stake. Space rows 100 cm apart, and 40–60 cm within the row. Plant approximately 6–8 seeds per stake. Harvest period: From late July to October.
Fertilization is usually not necessary. Avoid waterlogging and wet tillage. Later topdressing is recommended.
