Petunia hybrida spreading Wave® Purple Classic is the original spreading petunia and a true classic within the renowned Wave® range. Thanks to the characteristic easy spreading colour™, a rich flowering result is achieved in a short time, which comes into its own perfectly in pots, hanging baskets, and other decorative applications.

Wave® Purple Classic is known for its exuberant and long-lasting bloom. Throughout the season, large numbers of flowers appear along almost the entire length of the branches. Pruning is not necessary, making the plants particularly low-maintenance. The vigorous, spreading growth quickly creates a full plant and a striking appearance.

An important advantage of Wave® petunias is their strong garden performance. The plants cope well with both warm and cooler conditions and therefore remain attractive for a long period. Even under conditions where Botrytis occurs, Wave® petunias perform better than many other petunias.

Cultivation is fast and efficient. Plug cultivation takes approximately 4 to 6 weeks. After transplanting, the cultivation time until the final product is about 7 to 9 weeks in the spring and about 5 to 7 weeks in the summer. Wave® Purple Classic blooms about one week later than Wave® Lavender and Misty Lilac.
