With a fruit weight of approximately 1–1.4 kg, Waldo F1 has a slightly larger size than the smaller JWS 6823 F1.
The fruits of Waldo F1 are somewhat more blocky in shape, resulting in more flesh.
The yield is very good, the plants are resistant to mildew and have compact tendrils.
Maturation time: 100 days.
Waldo F1 forms short tendrils.
Cucurbita moschata requires a lot of warmth and is therefore best cultivated in advance. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in colder regions.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Waldo F1 we recommend 1–2 square meters per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
