Description

Block-shaped, uniform butternut squash with a good yield.

Typical block-shaped butternut, 1.3 to 1.8 kg, good yielding with high production.

Robust growth with good powdery mildew tolerance (PMT) and virus resistance, climbing.

Ripens well when planted in Central Europe. Butternut squash requires a warm, sheltered location. Direct sowing is possible from May onwards, but is only recommended to a limited extent due to the long ripening period.

Maturation period: 100–105 days.

UG 205 F1 ranks moderately.

Cucurbita moschata requires a lot of warmth and is therefore best grown early. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also do well in colder regions.

Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.

For UG 205 F1 we recommend 1–2 square meters per plant.

Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
