A high-yielding butternut squash with beautiful fruits, early fruit set, and compact growth habit.
The fruits are distinctive and have a beautifully colored flesh with good consistency and flavor. The fruit weight is around 1–1.2 kg.
Maturation period: 90–95 days.
Pixy F1 ranks moderately.
Cucurbita moschata requires a lot of warmth and therefore requires careful cultivation. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in colder regions.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Pixy F1 we recommend 1–2 square meters per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
