A very nice variety with good yields and evenly shaped fruits of around 1.5 kg.
Very good flesh quality. Grows very well with pre-cultivation and transplanting to a favorable, warm location.
Maturation period: 90–95 days.
Nutterbutter ranks mediocre.
Cucurbita moschata requires a lot of warmth and therefore requires proper cultivation. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in colder regions.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
For Nutterbutter we recommend 1–2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
