Classic, clearly ribbed, changing colour from green to brown.
Muscade de Provence has very solid and good flesh, weighing approximately 5–12 kg.
Unfortunately, in the Central European climate it only achieves its robust, bright, dark ochre colour if it has been pre-grown and has had a warm summer.

Growth habit: luxuriant.
Cucurbita moschata requires a lot of warmth and therefore requires proper cultivation. Varieties with a ripening time of up to 110 days also thrive in colder regions.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the growth habit.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
