Cucurbita moschata Ibiza is a high-quality butternut squash variety popular with both home gardeners and professional growers for its large, uniform fruits, sweet flavor, and robust plant. Ibiza produces large, evenly shaped fruits, usually weighing between 2.5 and 4 kilograms, with the classic butternut squash shape: an elongated neck and a rounded body. The skin is smooth, firm, and light beige to cream-colored, making the pumpkins both visually appealing and practical for use in cooking.
The flesh is deep orange, creamy, aromatic, and sweet, with a delicate nutty flavor. The seed cavity is compact, allowing a large portion of the fruit to remain edible and be used efficiently.
