Round, very productive variety, uniform fruits.
We can rightly call Fairy F1, of Asian origin, a highlight of our trial fields. The variety thrives quite reliably in Central Europe, bearing early and abundantly, with fruits weighing around 1.5 kg.
They are excellent pumpkins and also store quite well.
Maturation time: 105 days.
Ranking behaviour: Fairy F1 ranks moderately.
Cucurbita moschata needs a lot of warmth and is therefore best sown early. Varieties with a maturation time of up to 110 days also do well in colder regions.
Optimal germination: 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
