This Asian variety bears very nice fruits that weigh about 2–3 kg.
The variety needs a lot of warmth and must therefore be pre-bred.
Maturation time: 120 days.
Rank behavior: Fagtong Sri Muang ranks moderately.
Cucurbita moschata needs a lot of warmth and is therefore best sown early. Varieties with a maturation time of up to 110 days also do well in colder regions.
Optimal germination: 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
