On the one hand, the slightly ribbed fruits are decorative, on the other hand, the flesh is dark and rich in carotene.
Another breeding success is the compact growth.
Maturation period: 100–105 days.
Butterfly F1 grows compact.
Cucurbita moschata needs a lot of warmth and is therefore best sown early. Varieties with a maturation time of up to 110 days also do well in colder regions.
Optimal germination: 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Butterfly F1 we recommend approximately 2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
