A very beautiful, small and handy butternut squash, weighing 400–700 grams.
Tasteful and, due to its ideal size, particularly suitable for a single-person household.
Compact, vining variety with a good yield. Ripens fairly reliably under Central European conditions.
Mildew-tolerant (PMT) and late-maturing. Butternut squash require a warm, sheltered location.
Maturation time: 100 days.
Butterbaby F1 ranks weak.
Cucurbita moschata needs a lot of warmth and is therefore best sown early. Varieties with a maturation time of up to 110 days also do well in colder regions.
Optimal germination: 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Butterbaby F1 PMT we recommend approximately 1–2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
