Beautiful, large moschata pumpkin.
Autumn Buckskin is a traditional pumpkin from the United States.
It is highly ornamental, but is primarily grown in the US for its good pulp for industrial use. The fruits weigh approximately 8-12 kg and are formed relatively late.
In Central Europe, pre-cultivation is recommended.
Maturation time: 115 days.
Rank behaviour: moderate.
Cucurbita moschata needs a lot of warmth and is therefore best sown early. Varieties with a maturation time of up to 110 days also thrive in colder regions.
Optimal germination: 24-30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
