Description

Late blight-resistant beef tomato (PhR = Phytophthora Resistant).

Beef tomato with excellent resistance to late blight (Phytophthora infestans) and exceptionally high yields outdoors.

The red fruits weigh approximately 200 g and offer remarkably good fruit quality for beefsteak tomatoes. They have a pleasantly mild and balanced flavor.

The large fruits and firm flesh also make Vivagrande a good cooking tomato, which can be processed quickly, even in large quantities.

The plants have a very slow growth rate and can therefore easily be grown in a pot or on lower climbing aids.

Sow at 20–25°C from February to the end of March, sow from February to April, and plant outdoors after the last frost. Harvest from late July to October.

Tomatoes prefer sunny, sheltered locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and nutritious.

Tomato plants require a lot of water. Never water them with cold tap water; the water should be at least room temperature. Always keep the leaves dry to reduce the risk of tomato rot.
