Tried and tested pot and balcony tomatoes in orange
Venus is a compact tomato for large pots or balcony boxes. The fruits, which weigh about 15 to 20 grams, are very flavorful. It's an ideal variety for a 20 cm pot and a nice addition to the red and yellow varieties.
Sow at 20–25°C from February to the end of March, then cultivate from February to April, transplanting after the last frost. Harvesting takes place from late July to September.
Tomatoes prefer sunny, sheltered locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and nutritious.
Tomato plants require a lot of water. Never water them with cold tap water; the water should be at least room temperature. Always keep the leaves dry to reduce the risk of tomato rot.
