Proven vine tomato – Spencer.
Spencer is a vine tomato with excellent characteristics. The individual fruits weigh approximately 30 grams, and the vines ripen very compactly, allowing the entire vine to be harvested simultaneously. The fruits are crack-resistant and have a good flavor.
Spencer grows well both outdoors and in greenhouses. Numerous resistances to Fusarium and viral diseases enable successful cultivation.
Sow at 20–25°C from February to the end of March, then cultivate from February to April, transplanting after the last frost. Harvesting takes place from late July to September.
Tomatoes prefer sunny, sheltered locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and nutritious.
Tomato plants require a lot of water. Never water them with cold tap water; the water should be at least room temperature. Always ensure the leaves remain dry to reduce the risk of tomato rot.
