Paul Robson – Vital, reddish-brown salad tomato of Russian origin.
Paul Robson, named after the opera singer, bears oval-round, brownish-red fruits weighing approximately 150 grams with a green collar. The thick-fleshed, juicy fruits, with a very good flavor, are particularly suitable for salads and fresh consumption.
Paul Robson is suitable for outdoor cultivation in warm locations and for sheltered cultivation.
Sow at 20–25°C from February to the end of March, then cultivate from February to April, transplanting into the ground after the last frost. Harvesting takes place from late July to September.
Tomatoes prefer sunny, sheltered locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and nutrient-rich.
Tomato plants require a lot of water. Never water them with cold tap water. The water should be at least room temperature. Always ensure the leaves remain dry to reduce the risk of tomato rot.
