Bag-shaped Cuor di Bue tomato.
Liguria is a carmine-red variety from the Cuor di Bue tomato group.
The very tasty fruits are clearly grooved and, with a weight of approximately 120 to 300 grams, not as heavy as the usual Cuor di Bue.
Liguria thrives both in the greenhouse and outdoors in sheltered places.
For Liguria, 2-shoot cultivation is recommended: early pruning and then tying up 2 shoots and thinning them out.
Sow at 20–25°C from February to the end of March, then cultivate from February to April, transplanting into the ground after the last frost. Harvesting takes place from late July to September.
Tomatoes prefer sunny, sheltered locations. The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and nutrient-rich.
Tomato plants require a lot of water. Never water them with cold tap water; the water should be at least room temperature. Always ensure the leaves remain dry to reduce the risk of tomato rot.
