Description

Tomato specialty from Tuscany.

A specialty from Tuscany is this pear-shaped tomato with distinct ribs and green shoulders.

The fruits have a very good taste with a little sourness and a lot of sweetness.

Cultivated in Tuscany for over 100 years, this variety probably originated in Mexico.

The fruits are particularly suitable for salads, but also for sauces.

Harvesting takes place when the shoulders are still green and the plant is growing indeterminately.

Sow at 20-25°C from February to the end of March, then sow from February to April, planting outdoors after the last frost. Harvest takes place from late July to September.

Tomatoes prefer a sunny, sheltered location. The soil should be loose, humus-rich, and nutrient-rich.

Tomato plants require a lot of water. Never water them with cold tap water. The water should be at least room temperature. Always ensure the leaves remain dry to reduce the risk of tomato rot.
