Elongated, purple, tasty eggplant.
Violet Knight F1 is a new, elongated eggplant, bred in the United States. The fruits, approximately 17 cm long, shine in a rich lilac-purple color. The fruits are very tasty. The plants are vigorous, healthy, and grow up to 1.5 m tall. A nice counterpart to the White Knight F1 variety.
Growing is also possible in sufficiently large containers, but ensure a good supply of nutrients and water. Eggplants grow best in a greenhouse, but can also be grown outdoors in sheltered, sunny spots.
Sow at 20-22°C from late February to mid-April, then pre-cultivate in pots and plant out from early May. The recommended planting distance is approximately 40 x 60 cm. Violet Knight F1 can be harvested from mid-July to late September.
