Tsakoniki is an attractive purple eggplant with a delicate flavor.
Tsakoniki is a mid-season, attractive purple, egg-shaped eggplant with fine, white flesh. The fruits ripen from around early August and reach a size of 20 cm.
The eggplant variety Tsakoniki is suitable for greenhouse cultivation and warm, sunny outdoor areas. It also grows well in large containers.
Sow at 20-25°C from late February to mid-April, then pre-cultivate in pots and plant out from early May. The recommended planting distance is approximately 40 x 60 cm. Tsakoniki can be harvested from approximately early August to late September.
