Reliable, elongated aubergine, also suitable for outdoor use.
Gobi produces abundant purple, elongated, cylindrical fruits on tall plants, about 15-20 cm long and 4-5 cm in diameter. The flesh is greenish. Gobi grows best in a greenhouse, but can also be grown outdoors, provided a very warm, sunny, and sheltered spot is available.
Sow at 20-25°C from late February to mid-April, then pre-cultivate in pots and plant out from early May. The recommended planting distance is approximately 40 x 60 cm. Gobi can be harvested from approximately mid-July to late September.
