The herb is used to flavour and refine salads, sauces and stews.
Savory keeps aphids away from beans, so always plant it near beans.
Sow year-round under glass, or direct sow outdoors from April to June, spacing 4-5 seeds 25 x 30 cm apart. Germination takes approximately 18 to 24 days at 15 to 20°C. Harvest from March to December, depending on the crop.
