Rudbeckia hirta 'Marmalade' (Coneflower) is a short-lived perennial, usually grown as an annual, with spiny stems and lance-shaped leaves.
The classic daisy flowers are golden yellow with a central dark brown cone and appear from midsummer to autumn.
Best grown as a semi-hardy annual. It thrives in moderately fertile, preferably heavy but well-drained soil in full sun or partial shade.
