Panter is a homogeneous selection of the well-known round black winter radish. This deep black, firm-fleshed, round radish is particularly suitable for storing throughout the winter and has a long shelf life.
Essential oils that can be released with sugar or honey have been shown to be effective against colds.
Black radish is harvested and stored in the fall. At around 3°C, it keeps very well until April.
Sow directly from June to August at a spacing of 15 x 25 cm. Harvest takes place approximately 14 weeks after sowing, starting in August.
Radishes should always be well watered, not harvested when overripe, and never allowed to dry out, as this will lead to pungency and woodiness.
