Purple radish specialty.
Medium-sized, approximately 15–20 cm long, intensely colored radish. Almost forgotten, colored radish varieties are enjoying a resurgence in popularity. Karmina is a prime example, with tender, white flesh and a development time of only 75 days from seed to harvest. Because Karmina also grows well in summer with adequate irrigation, it is ideal for successive crops.
Sow in February/March under glass or outdoors from March to July, with a row spacing of 25 cm and a row spacing of 20 cm. Harvest takes place from April to October, depending on the sowing date.
Radishes should always be well watered, not harvested when overripe, and never allowed to dry out, as this will lead to pungency and woodiness.
