Cloni Success® ranunculus have been specially selected for their impressive flower quality. The large, perfectly filled flowers bloom for 6 to 8 weeks when the plants are well cared for. Furthermore, thanks to the sturdy flower stems, they are extremely suitable as cut flowers. In a vase, the flowers remain beautiful for as long as 10 to 14 days, allowing you to enjoy their elegant appearance indoors for an extended period.
The Ranunculus Touareg feels at home in almost any garden. Plant the bulbs in borders, raised planters, or decorative pots on the patio or balcony. This exclusive ranunculus is also highly suitable for cultivation in a greenhouse.
For optimal growth, Ranunculus requires a cold start. The tubers develop the strongest roots when the soil temperature during the first growth phase is between 5 and 10 °C. This results in vigorous plants with abundant flowering.
For best results, soak the tubers in water for about 2 hours before planting. This allows them to absorb moisture and start growing faster. Then, plant the tubers with the characteristic 'claws' facing downwards in a sunny to lightly shaded location in well-draining soil.
Although the plants can tolerate light frost down to approximately -3°C, they are not fully winter-hardy. In areas where more severe frost occurs, we recommend growing the tubers indoors or in a greenhouse first. As soon as the risk of night frost has passed, the plants can be moved outdoors. This way, you will enjoy abundant flowering early in the summer.
In the event of unexpected frost, you can easily protect the plants with fleece or a layer of mulch.
After flowering, the tubers can be dug up, dried, and stored in a cool, dry place. They can be replanted in the next planting season, so that you can enjoy this beautiful Italian ranunculus for several years.
The size 3/4 tubers are shipped starting in September, so that you can plant them at the ideal time for a successful crop.
