A low-growing, clump-forming herbaceous perennial with green, softly hairy, feathery foliage.
Dark purple, upward-facing, tapered flowers with yellow centers appear from March to April.
The flowers are followed by silky seed heads.
Suitable for outdoor cultivation and flowers two weeks earlier than traditional varieties.
Recommended pot sizes: 9-12 cm pots.
