Compact, bronze leaves and vigorous, branching growth from the base. Vibrant scarlet flowers appear on dense, fully upright spikes. Members of the Fan Series usually bloom earlier than the species, starting in summer and continuing into autumn.

Lobelia is an excellent border plant for damp locations and attracts many insects.
