The Iris hollandica Strongold® is a beautiful Dutch iris with striking yellow flowers that instantly create a warm and sunny atmosphere in the garden. This elegant iris blooms in May and June and reaches a height of approximately 50 cm. Thanks to its bright color and graceful flower shape, the Strongold® is an excellent choice for borders, group plantings, and colorful flower gardens.
The sturdy stems and long-lasting flowers make the Iris hollandica Strongold® particularly suitable as a cut flower. The flowers remain beautiful for a long time in bouquets and arrangements, allowing you to enjoy this radiant iris indoors as well. Although this variety is not fragrant, the intense yellow color makes it a real eye-catcher in any garden.
The Iris hollandica Strongold® grows best in a location in full sun or partial shade. Plant the bulbs at a depth of approximately 10 cm and maintain a planting distance of 10 cm for optimal results. For a richly flowering border, it is recommended to plant approximately 150 bulbs per m². Additionally, this iris is excellent for naturalizing, meaning the flowers return annually and spread naturally.
The packaging contains 100 bulbs, ideal for larger garden projects or professional plantings. Furthermore, the bulbs are suitable for machine planting, making this variety very practical for large-scale applications. This iris is less suitable for pot planting, but it truly comes into its own in borders and natural gardens.
