An old Japanese, non-branching variety, primarily bred for cut flower use, but equally well suited for mass planting at the back of a border.

Single large flower heads 15–25cm (6–10″) in shades of yellow-orange, with rich chocolate brown centres.

Bees and other insects will love this flower.
