This beautiful, round, small breed is very popular as a party snack.
The carrots, which are about 2–3 cm long, have a high carotene content and an excellent flavor. They also store easily.
Sow directly outdoors, sowing depth 0.5 cm. Row spacing: 30–40 cm, 3–4 cm within the row. To protect against carrot root fly, choose open, windy locations or cover with netting. Do not apply fresh fertilizer. Carrots prefer sunny locations and light, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Harvest period: from late June to September.
Carrots should only be grown in the same spot every six years. They grow well alongside corn, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and potatoes.
