Sowing and cultivation instructions

Sowing method

  • Sow directly outdoors, sowing depth: 0.5 cm

  • Row spacing: 30–40 cm

  • Row spacing: 10–12 cm (do not sow too close together to allow room for the wide roots)

  • Thinning: thin out later to about 30 plants per m²

Location

  • Sunny locations for optimal root development

  • Soil: light, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil

  • To protect against carrot fly: open, windy locations or cover with netting

  • Do not use fresh fertilizer when sowing to prevent cracks and lumps.
