Early, uniform Nantes carrot.
Marquette is an early and uniform, cylindrical carrot with an excellent flavor and a beautiful color. Marquette also stores well.
Sow directly outdoors, sowing depth 0.5 cm. Row spacing: 30–40 cm, 3–4 cm within the row. To protect against carrot root fly, choose open, windy locations or cover with netting. Do not apply fresh fertilizer. Carrots prefer sunny locations and light, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Harvest takes place from July to September.
Carrots should only be grown in the same spot every six years. They grow well alongside corn, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and potatoes.
