Sow directly outdoors, sowing depth 0.5 cm. Row spacing: 30–40 cm, 3–4 cm within the row. To protect against carrot fly, choose open, windy locations or cover with netting. Do not apply fresh fertilizer. Carrots prefer sunny locations and light, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Approximately 125 days from sowing to harvest.
Carrots should only be grown in the same spot every six years. They grow well alongside corn, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and potatoes.
