Purple carrot specialty.

This carrot, up to 20 cm long, with purple skin and bright orange flesh, is a welcome addition to the carrot selection. It's delicious raw and cooked. Cosmic Purple has firm, upright leaves that make harvesting easy. The carrots are easy to store and keep well into winter.

Sow directly outdoors, sowing depth 0.5 cm. Row spacing: 30–40 cm, 3–4 cm within the row. To protect against carrot root fly, choose open, windy locations or cover with netting. Do not apply fresh fertilizer. Carrots prefer sunny locations and light, well-drained, nutrient-rich soil. Harvesting takes place from July to October.

Carrots should only be grown in the same spot every six years. They grow well alongside corn, tomatoes, onions, lettuce, and potatoes.
