Golden yellow patisson.
The saucer-shaped fruits can be eaten young, like zucchini, or ripe, but the main value of patissons lies more in their ornamental value. The plants grow as a shrub.
Harvested young to use like zucchini.
Maturation period: 50–80 days.
Y-Star F1 grows in a bush shape.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils. Sow from late April or direct sow from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, hold the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
Y-Star F1 requires approximately 1 square meter of space per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
