Weighing approximately 1 to 1.3 kg, it's quite large. Highly productive and very stable. The fruits retain their internal qualities well into winter.
Acorn squashes are popular pumpkins in the US. Halved and baked, they're often eaten with maple syrup.
Excellent for filling and preparing.
Maturation time: 95 days.
Starry Night F1 produces short tendrils.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Starry Night F1 we recommend a space requirement of 1 m² per plant.
