Microwave pumpkin.
Gorgeous! A striking, two-tone pumpkin, flat-round and beautifully ribbed, similar to Sweet Lightning F1.
Weighing in at approximately 600 grams, it's ideal for oven or microwave cooking. Once filled, each pumpkin makes a complete meal.
SAM Bicolor, slightly larger than its sister variety SAM Orange, also convinces with a good yield, compact climbing growth and a very high resistance to mildew.
Maturation time: 90 days.
SAM Bicolor grows as a climber.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For SAM Bicolor we recommend 2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
