Attractively ribbed, large pumpkin.
Decorative, large pumpkin with distinctive ribs and a beautiful stem. Round to highly rounded in shape, weighing approximately 7.5–9 kg, semi-bushy growth habit.
Salem F1 is suitable for consumption, but not recommended.
Maturation time: 95 days.
Salem F1 grows compact.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Salem F1 we recommend 1–2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
