Beautifully shaped pumpkin with a sturdy stem.
Renegade F1 completely convinced us in the trial. The beautifully shaped and ribbed fruits weigh only 7–8 kg and have a diameter of only about 25 cm. The fruits are very heavy and solid, and the skin is very robust. This ensures excellent shelf life after harvest.
The skin colour is a strong dark orange and with the beautifully shaped stem, Renegade F1 is a very attractive pumpkin.
The variety is suitable for consumption, for example in pumpkin soup.
Maturation period: 90–95 days.
Renegade F1 produces short tendrils.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Renegade F1 we recommend approx. 1–2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
