A very decorative, small pumpkin. Orangita F1 is suitable for consumption.
A fascinating novelty of American origin. The beautifully ribbed fruits weigh approximately 500–700 g and contain flesh comparable to that of the familiar acorn squash. This makes Orangita an excellent candidate for the microwave or oven as a stuffed individual squash.
Orangita F1 is resistant to powdery mildew and produces abundant fruit. When combined with the white Casperita F1, the fruits are particularly beautiful.
Maturation time: 90 days.
Growth habit: compact, bushy form.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Orangita PMT F1 we recommend approx. 1 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
