Orange Smoothie lives up to its name: the smooth skin. The beautiful round fruits weigh about 3–4 kg, are an ideal size, and thanks to their smooth skin, are perfect for painting.
Of course, Orange Smoothie is also very suitable for cutting. The plant grows bushy and compact.
Maturation time: 95 days.
Growth habit: moderately climbing.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Orange Smoothie we recommend approximately 1–2 m² per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
