Ol Zebs is an old, almost lost variety from the US. The fruits weigh approximately 8–12 kg, and the graceful stem on the round, ribbed, and beautifully colored fruits is particularly attractive.

Growth habit: moderately climbing.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
