Beautiful, distinct, pure white, elongated acorn fruits, weighing approximately 600–900 grams and very decorative.
Halved, pitted and oven-baked, then peeled, you can make a delicious puree as a side dish – similar to mashed potatoes – with the addition of salt, herbs and a little oil.
The plants grow bushy, with short tendrils, and are very productive.
Maturation time: 90 days.
Mashed Potato F1 grows compact with very short tendrils.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Mashed Potato F1 we recommend 1 square meter per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
