Green and white striped, beautiful acorn squash.
Harlequin F1 produces well-formed, round, typical acorn squashes in creamy white with green stripes. The fruits, which weigh around 1100 grams, are produced in abundance, and the plant grows bushy and compact.
Acorn squashes are good for stuffing and cooking whole. In the US, they're served halved with maple syrup.
Harlequin F1 is an alternative to Sweet Dumpling, because it produces fruit much earlier and better.
Very suitable for filling and cooking.
Maturation time: 90 days.
Harlequin F1 forms short tendrils.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-cultivated and planted out by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24-30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or lay it flat. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Harlequin F1 we recommend 1 square meter per plant.
