Very beautiful dark and ribbed variety with sturdy dark green stems, weight approx. 6–8 kg, round to very round, very vigorous lantern pumpkin.
Maturation time: 100 days.
Gold Gem F1 grows vigorously.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-grown and planted by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
