Fire F1 is a medium to large pumpkin with an average weight of around 7 kg, giving it a firm and well-formed appearance.

Highlights of Fire F1

Fire F1 is known for its beautiful, rounded fruits with unique green markings, which, unlike oil pumpkins, retain their shape for a long time. The fruits are well-set, firm, and visually appealing. This makes Fire F1 a top choice for autumn decorations, garden ornaments, and even for sale at local markets.

Key features:

  • Fruit weight: approx. 7 kg

  • Shape: strongly rounded, uniform

  • Color: bright dark orange with green markings

  • Steel: strong and well proportioned

  • Use: ornamental pumpkin, decoration, hobby garden

  • Maturation time: 90 days

Growth form and plant structure

Fire F1 is a vigorously vining variety, so it requires ample space for optimal growth. Thanks to its vigorous growth, the plants are capable of developing firm, uniformly shaped fruits. For optimal development, we recommend a planting distance of approximately 2–3 m² per plant.

The compact fruit set combined with the impressive decorative markings makes this variety ideal for gardens, hobby growing and graceful autumn decorations, where it is both functional and aesthetic.

Cultivation and sowing method

Cucurbita pepo Fire F1 grows best in warm, well-drained soil. The variety can be grown either pre-grown or direct-sown, depending on the local climate and available space.

  • Pre-cultivation: sow from the end of April and plant out after the last night frost

  • Direct sowing: from early May, when the soil has warmed up sufficiently

Seed treatment and germination:

  • Sow the pointed end of the seed downwards or flat

  • Keep the seed slightly moist, but not too wet

  • After germination, place the seedlings in a lighter and cooler place

The optimal germination temperature is between 24–30 °C, which ensures strong and healthy seedlings that later grow into strong, fruitful plants.

Uses and applications

With its bright orange color and green markings, Fire F1 is an ideal choice for autumn decoration. The firm fruits are suitable for:

  • Fall and Halloween decorations

  • Market sale of medium-sized ornamental pumpkins

  • Hobby gardens and garden decoration

  • Photography and creative displays

Although Fire F1 is primarily grown for ornamental purposes, the fruits can also be stored for a long time thanks to their firm skin, making the pumpkin suitable for long displays and seasonal decorations.
