Attractively ribbed, large pumpkin.
Weighing in at 9 kg, it has a large, attractive appearance. Round, firm fruits with a double rib. The dark orange fruits with a beautiful stem grow on bushy plants.
Duchess F1 is suitable for consumption, but not recommended.
Maturation time: 100 days.
Duchess F1 ranks compact.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soils, pre-grown and planted by sowing from late April or direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination occurs at 24–30°C. When sowing, place the pointed end of the seed downward or flatten it. Do not keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cooler location.
For Duchess F1 we recommend 1–2 square meters per plant.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
