Very attractive shapes and colours.
Very nicely pronounced wings and fruits of the crookneck type with a neck, ripening about the same time as the two sister varieties.
Maturation time: 105 days.
Moderate climbing growth behaviour.
C. pepo grows well in warm, well-drained soil, with pre-cultivation and planting out by sowing from late April or by direct sowing from early May.
Optimal germination temperature: 24–30°C. Sow with the pointed end of the seed facing down or lay it flat. Don't keep the seed too moist. After germination, place it in a bright, cool place.
The planting distance for pumpkins depends on the tendril behaviour.
Possible pests: snails, birds, mice, aphids, mildew, viruses.
